The world faces common challenges, and we want to be part of the solution. That is why we place a strong emphasis on sustainability and digitalization as we shape the future of SEB. These focus areas permeate both our long-term strategy and all roles in our international Trainee program. Therefore, you will become a crucial key player in shaping the future of the bank.

Kick-start your career

Listen to Anton Halses, Business Advisor in SEB's Tech division and one of the previous participants in SEB's International Trainee Programme, to learn more about what the programme is like and how it can kick-start your career.

SEB is a large international company with more than 15,500 employees around the world. The program is designed to provide you with a broad introduction to working in a large and complex international organization. The program accommodates approximately 20 participants. The majority of these are based in Sweden, but we also have some positions at our international sites.

The program starts in September and lasts for nine months. Right from the beginning, you will be employed in a specific role. During the Trainee program, practical work is combined with training to provide you with the best possible conditions for development and an exciting career within SEB.

SEB's international Trainee program is an excellent way to kickstart your career. During your trainee year, we will prepare you and provide you with the best tools to help you develop and take on challenges to drive change. The program is divided into different parts, including work in your home department, participating in a business challenge, self-driven activities, as well as learning and networking activities. Working in the home department and self-driven activities, such as rotations, make up for the majority of the program. Networking and learning activities constitute about one-third.

Throughout the program, you will make site visits to the countries where we have participants in the SEB International Trainee Programme. You will also have the opportunity to do an internship abroad at another SEB office for up to four weeks after completing the trainee program.

Education and Collaboration

You will participate in educational activities, such as courses in areas like self-leadership and communication. Collaborating cross-functionally is seen as a vital key competence at SEB, and you will practice and develop this skill during the program. You will have the opportunity to get to take ownership and drive collaboration activities, as well as participate in real business challenges and find solutions together with others.

This is who we are looking for
